In the workshop which is equipped with all the modern facilities, watches and clocks are made with great care
and handicraft as special execution for the customer.
Since almost no parts are produced to be kept on stock,
the customer can have his ideas of design and construction realized. Thus, he can be sure to get a unique item to fit harmoniously into his environment.
Nienaber-Uhren has been in existence at Bünde for more than 25 years
1982 company founded as a mere repair shop
1984 move to new premises at Bahnhofstr. 75. Opening of a retail business for mechanical clocks with annexed repair shop
1987 first contact with second pendulum regulators
1989 the first regulator to be made to customer order
1991 2 more regulators made to be exhibited at the world fair for clocks and jewellery in Basle
1992 collection being extended by two additional models being again presented in Basle
1995 saw the first small-scale series of wrist watches
1998 Construction of the KING SIZE date, the first big date with only one window in the dial and central unique digits.
2000 Other wristwatch models of the KING SIZE line have been developed. The name "KING SIZE ®" watches was registrated as trademark.
2001 The complications "retrograde hour" and "jumping hour" were presented in Basel.
2003 Start of the production of the KING SIZE regulator, the first wrist watch with authentic dial division.
2004 Extension of the workshop by moving to new premisses located on Bahnhoftrasse 33a.
2005 Enlargement of the collection by solid gold cases for the complications under the name of GOLDEN COMPLICATONS.
2006 After the retrograde hour and minute indications, the watch with retrograde seconds hand is completing the "TRIO retrograde".
2007 The RETRO-3, the watch with three retrograde hands, will be finished: hour and minute hands in the centre of the dial and small retrograde seconds indication.
In 2008 two models of watches were created as limited editions: the DIGIMAT, limited at 25 pieces, a mechanical digital watch with a PUW (Pforzheimer Uhren Werke) automatic movement as well as the "Automatik Alarm", limited at only 12 pieces, a watch with alarm function based on the legendary automatic movement AS ( Anton Schild ) 5008.
A new watch with retrograde time indication was presented at Basel World 2009. This model, called "Retro2", has retrograde hour and minute hands. It is the first retrograde watch of Rainer Nienaber with an automatic movement.
