The watch without hands

This very unusual time indication has been inspired by a pocket watch of the second half of the 19th century. Even though the watch has no hands time can be read easily and quickly with accuracy to the minute. In the window on top of the dial a disc indicating the hour is turning from the left to the right. Below you can read the minutes. At the end of the hour the digit disappears on the right whereas the new time appears on the left.

This time indication is made possible by a central wheel that turns once in three hours. This wheel has three satellites with four hour indications each. This complication has been developed and realized in our workshop.
The silvered dial is decorated with an elaborated line pattern. The watch has a diameter of 41 mm and is 10 mm high. It has a stainless steel case with two sapphire glasses. The movement can be seen through the glass bottom. This unusual time indication is powered by a finely decorated hand winding movement Cal. AS 1130.
