Jumping hour

„The Technical“

In 1883 an Austrian engineer patented a watch with a 24-hour dial (nowadays we say digital time indication).
“The Technical” as well has a precise jumping time indication instead of an hour hand. The dial is divided into 2x12 hours. Day and night hours are shown differently. As it is common in technics the new day starts at midnight with “zero”. A hand winding movement with small seconds by the Swiss manufacturer Anton Schild drives this interesting time indication. The surface of the dial presents three different types of structures. Precise limits between them underline le technical character of the watch.
